With the summer season over ... the work begins!

Well, summer is over ... I want to thank everyone for what was perhaps the most memorable season of my career. The crowds this year were completely awesome and I had more fun than I've ever had.

We have captured 29 tapes (ninety minutes each) - roughly 43 hours of JoeJoe! Nearly all of them have been ripped to the computer ... this season has been exceptionally hard on me, filming at night ... ripping and watching during the day ... and somewhere in between trying to keep up my personal life and attend to the pets, maintaining the house and bla bla bla . Honestly, I'm really glad to have a break.

As of right now, nearly all of the footage for a performance DVD has been laid out. Two tricks have already been processed and are ready for the final cut. Here is a run down on some of the effects you can expect to see on my upcoming performance DVD, which will be titled "Reality":

Misled (Timothy Wenk)
Sword-through-Body (Original)
Grandfather's Card Trick (John Cornelius' Twisting the Aces)
Unshuffled (my stripper deck handling)
Dancing Hank and Vanishing Silk (God only knows who invented these)
Infusion (Andrew Mayne - so glad I got one of his on this!)
Linking Rings (My original handling)
Pen-through-Bill (Bic Pen version of Cornelius')

So thats the run down ... might have left something out, not sure. Plus, there will be interview scenes with me. All of the performance shots are done, most of the interview shots are done. We will return to Barefoot Landing soon to capture some closeups to make the magic easier on the eyes.

We are also continuing the search for sound ... it is our hope that we can find a really good local band somewhere that has released some music via a Creative Commons license. We have listened to hundreds of bands and thousands of songs ... I'm afraid Dana's poor ears are going to fall off, since most of it is really bad. But she insists there is a jewel out there waiting to be found, and she is determined to find just the right tune. We have a few pieces from http://soundclick.com that we like, but have not made a final decision yet.

More updates to be posted as we continue to focus on this project...
