Spam is best in a can

The spammers won't quit - starting to tick me off! In the last two days, they have logged over 5,000 false hits in an effort to get on my "top referrers" list.

Thus, I am removing the top referrers and the recent refers from the sidebar. Most of the hits come from my site anyway, so its no biggie. If anyone is sending hits and wants a permanent link on the sidebar, use the "CONTACT" page to let me know.

If I had the time, I'd track down their WHOIS data and forward it to their attorney general. Sending fraudulent data is indeed a crime, and with the steady stream of email spammers getting nailed in the courts you would think they would get real jobs already. I hope they get to spend a lot of time talking to Robert Soloway, Christopher Smith, and Leo Kuvayev about work ethics.

Introducing ... the Amazing JoeJoe!

I'm proud to release my website's new "intro" today ... an old-school video slide-show of various video clips of me performing. Click here to watch the intro.

While most websites use Flash for an intro, I despise Flash programming - I'm on an old computer that is only 400 MHz and generally don't like many plug-ins at all. I had the vision to do this, so I did it in a way that it would work with my computer.

The new intro should work with any JavaScript enabled webbrowser, but I have only tested it with MSIE5 and NetScape 7. If it doesn't work for anyone, please let me know what version and what browser you are using so I can find a fix.

I'm going to be working on the Blog sidebar next ... I want to streamline it, remove the clutter, and add a bunch of Myrtle Beach links to it. See you soon!

JoeJoe

UPDATE: some dial-up users complained the intro took too long to load, so I have replaced the animation with still images ... I intend to revisit the intro soon and make it less graphical by adding some DHTML effects so it will load even faster.

All washed up

Myrtle Beach is again being hit with a tropical storm, well not exactly being hit - but the outer bands have been dumping rain on us like you wouldn't believe, three days of solid rain now.

I must have blown a shingle during the last storm, because water is just pouring into my workshop. I've had to move props and rearrange all the junk around. Buckets full of water. Uggh!

I was supposed to meet a reporter today, but we postponed due to the rain. I was also supposed to have a photo shoot of the new Solo Slice illusion, but that will need to wait too. Why must everything take longer than planned?
