Spring Fireworks

Today was the official spring kick-off with Barefoot Landing hosting fireworks. Early on, there were a few people around that reminded me of all the reasons I hate doing this. But as the night went on, there were more than enough people there that reminded me of why I love doing what I do. I've tried to stop street performing many times in my life, but for some reason the wonderful people I meet keep bringing me back ... its a hard job to walk away from.

So we tested a new trick tonight, a new crowd puller. I was totally shocked and amazed at just how well it worked - the only downside is the wind made it difficult to work. I'm sure there are going to be a lot of nights I won't be able to use this new baby, but from what I have seen the nights I will be able to use it are going to be some of the easiest crowds I've ever assembled.

I haven't been filming this season, the video equipment is clumbersome to lug around ... I expect to do a lot less filming this season. But I do have a camera phone on order, when I get it I'll show off my new "MAGIC SHOWS" sign. Till then...
